Estero, FL (February 11, 2016) – Hans Peter Clavadetscher and Margarete Leeser have operated in the restaurant and hospitality industries in Germany and Switzerland for the past 30 years, but the couple always dreamed of moving to America to open  a restaurant. Now that dream has become a reality.

On February 11, Clavadetscher and Leeser’s Tasteria European Bistro opened at Miromar Outlets in Estero, Florida. Tasteria European Bistro is located in Suite 193 near MundoMax Playland and occupies 1,010 square feet with an additional outdoor seating area.

Tasteria European Bistro is casual and affordable. The cuisine is inspired by the owners’ love of international cuisine. They serve a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, cold gazpacho soup, croissants, eggs served your style, and entrees such as beef steak, veal schnitzel, pork bratwurst, poached scallops with cream sauce, tuna tataki, and pasta dishes.

Complementing the flavorsome food are a variety of coffee, espresso, beer, and wines. Tasteria European Bistro also offers an assortment of desserts such as chocolate cake, assorted pastries, ice cream, and Macha green tea chocolate.

The bistro offers full service inside and outside, as well as carry-out, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Authentic European music plays in the background to complete the ambiance.

Why would successful Swiss and German restaurateurs choose Southwest Florida to open a new bistro?  According to Clavadetscher, it was time for a change.  “We have been vacationing to Southwest Florida for the past fifteen years, and decided it was time for an area and mentality change,” said Clavadetscher. With an apprenticeship degree in cooking, Clavadetscher knows what it takes to make a restaurant succeed.

Leeser also earned her apprenticeship degree, but in hotel operations. She learned the necessary skills of hospitality and customer service. “I enjoy the interaction with our guests and the operations of a restaurant,” said Leeser.

“We strongly believe in good quality food at an affordable price,” Leeser added. “We pride ourselves on exceptional service and authenticity.”
