Miromar Development’s University Village is a 100-acre mixed-use residential and commercial development adjacent to Florida Gulf Coast University in Estero, Florida, midway between Naples and Fort Myers. University Village will provide off-campus housing, retail and convenience shops and restaurants. The property connects to the southern side of FGCU via South Village Blvd. and will create a unique university environment where students, staff and faculty can meet, shop and eat.

University Village and FGCU will enjoy important synergies through proximity and mutual interests. Part of Florida’s 12-campus state university system, FGCU offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Current enrollment is over 14,000 students and is projected to reach 22,000; staff and faculty total more than 1,100.

Built by Suffolk Construction, University Village will feature stunning Mediterranean-style architecture with tropical landscaping. The first phase of University Village will be comprised of The Residences at University Village and the University Village Shops.

The Residences at University Village offer fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom and four-bedroom, four-bathroom floorplans with the option for lakefront views. The professionally managed three-story, garden-style apartments will be just a short walk or bike ride from the center of FGCU’s campus. State-of-the-art amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, 14,000-square-foot clubhouse, fitness center, gaming zone with pool table and arcade, cyber café with study and conference rooms, media lounge and high-speed, large bandwidth Wi-Fi throughout the apartments and common areas. The first phase will provide 588 beds, and with future developments The Residences will house a total of 924 students.

The University Village Shops will encompass 70,000 square feet of leasable space in Phase 1 to feature a diverse collection of restaurants, boutiques, and health and beauty retailers. There is also a proposed 25,000-square-foot food market and additional leasable space spanning approximately 14,000 square feet. The University Village Shops will be located adjacent to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, a corridor heavily traveled by the millions of travelers annually who utilize the Southwest Florida International Airport. The road parallels Interstate 75 with two convenient exits within a fourth of a mile.
