Ralph Lauren Lamp available at Miromar Design Center in Estero, FLESTERO, Fla. (January 25, 2018) – Are you creating the right mood with your lighting? Do the accessories in your home tell a story or reveal something about your personality?

Residential design specialist Ruth Condit shares insight and inspiration about these important but often overlooked design elements during the free Feb. 8 seminar “Jewelry for the Home: Lighting & Accessories” at Miromar Design Center. Her presentation will help audience members understand how to accessorize, paint spaces in appropriate light and achieve a finished look in their homes.
The 11 a.m. seminar is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Reservations are required and must be made by Monday, Feb. 5. at MiromarDesignCenter.com.

“Most people under-accessorize or don’t create visual interest by using lighting or accessories with a variety of heights,” said Condit, a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design. “Accessories and lamps introduce color and finish the look … much like the philosophy in fashion that no outfit is complete without accessorizing well. When you mix in items you’ve collected on your travels, pictures of family or an object found on the beach, you’ve got something that says ‘you.’ This is what really finishes an interior.”

The seminar is sponsored by MP Interiors. Guests are welcome to join Condit for a reception at Ralph Lauren Home Suite 348 following her talk. Guests can also explore several designer-created room environments showcasing lighting and accessories in the center’s atrium and shop those looks in its 45 home furnishing stores.
